Trivia[]

• The leaked Achievement/Trophy «Where in the World is…» is awarded for completing a mission named «Best Laid Plans»; a mission of the same name appears in the first Saints Row, however this achievement and mission were not in the final game.
• It was claimed in pre-release interviews that there would be no forced Activities.[reference?] There are 4 Activities which must be completed to fulfil quest objectives, as well as 3 unskippable tutorial missions.
• There are 4 auto-starting missions before free-roaming is available, which is the greatest number of forced missions in the series.
• There are no Strongholds in Saints Row IV, and the game data files only contain references to Saints Row: The Third Strongholds.

Cut missions

The game string files reference several cut missions.

• The 3 objectives of the Simulated Instruction Side Quest were originally missions:
  • «Tower Exploration», labelled MM_1_4, was the mission name for the «Explore the Tower» objective, and was supposed to be the 4th mission in the «Learn the Rules…» quest.
  • «A State Of Mind», labelled MM_3_1, was the mission name for the «Simulated Fraud» objective, and was supposed to take place after Power Up CID.
  • «Got To Get Me One», labelled MM_3_2, was the mission name for the «This Tank’s For You» objective. Unlike other cut missions, the unused audio files and subtitles for this mission remain in the game files. This mission after this is MM_3_2, Prof. Genki’s Mind Over Murder.
• «Mysterious Caller» was supposed to take place during the Break on Through quest, before Platforming Rift. It is internally named «MM_2_CID», and would have introduced CID

  «Get CID» was supposed to be mission «M04». «M03» is The Real World, and «M05» is Power Up CID. This is the only instance of full mission number being skipped.

• «Suppressed» was supposed to be the mission name for the «Talkie Talkie» quest. The internal string name for the quest log «Talk To Matt Miller» is «SUPPRESSION_MISSION_NAME». The Zin started using Suppression Grenades in the previous quest. Volition developers have revealed that there was originally different audio when speaking to Matt Miller, but that they do not know why it was changed.

Overview[]

During development on Saints Row IV, Volition, Inc. targeted mission structure as a key area for improvement. Speaking to Polygon, they explained that players’ use of the cellphone to retrieve missions in Saints Row: The Third felt disconnected from the game’s narrative.

Design Director Scott Phillips said that Saints Row IV’s missions have been changed to «more of a quest log structure» and that the missions «are more organized». Phillips believes that it’s «just a better structure to pull people through the game».

The plot is divided into Quests.

• Each Quest may have multiple objectives.
• Each Objective may have multiple requirements.
• Objectives may be Missions or Activities.
• Missions and Activities have standard completion screens which show the mission title, while other Objectives and Quest completion messages appear on-screen during gameplay.
• Quest names are shown in the Cellphone, and the Save and Load screens.
• Mission names are shown on the mission completed and failed screens.

Side Quests become available after some missions. Side Quest Objectives consist of Activities, Diversions, Challenges or simply using a store.

Геймплей

Во-вторых, геймплей. Игровой процесс несколько изменился со времен прошлой части серии, и напрямую связан с сюжетом. Если вкратце, то главарь банды Святых спас США от ядерной боеголовки и стал президентом США. Естественно, в собственном стиле: с блек-джеком, бильярдными столами и шестом для стриптиза прямо в Овальном кабинете. И все было бы хорошо, если бы не внезапное нападение инопланетян. Игровая механика теперь еще более «фантастична»: персонаж получает суперспособности и может бросать огненные шары, поднимать предметы в воздух, двигаться со сверхзвуковой скоростью и бить с силой носорога. Арсенал оружия в игре стал больше, но вряд ли игрокам захочется постоянно покупать патроны к оружию, имея такие силы. • Игровой процесс. Геймплей игры наконец-то перестал делать видимость «реалистичности». Теперь игровой персонаж обладает суперсилами, а механика боя стала намного динамичнее. Если вы привыкли отсиживаться за укрытием, отстреливая своих врагов, то тут придется действовать иначе. Или инопланетяне уничтожат вашего героя.

Commander In Chief Edition includes the base game and Commander-In-Chief Pack which was earlier exclusive to this edition.

All versions of the game are censored in Australia and cannot use the Rectifier DLC or play multiplayer with international copies of the game

The GOG.com version removes most UI elements and all internal functions related to My Steelport service. It is not possible to connect this version to the fanmade My Steelport emulator. The «Character Gallery» option in Plastic Surgeon menu remains, but selecting it will hang the game if GOG Galaxy client is running in background.

The Microsoft Store version is «Saints Row IV: Re-Elected» edition. This version has a unique feature that allows saving and restoring customized characters locally, but is incompatible with any mods.

Особенности Saints Row 4 Механики

• Навыки паркура. Ваш герой игры сможет легко прыгать по крышам высотных зданий, а также используя силу телекинеза, он своими мыслями сможете наносить ущерб коварных анти героям.
• Оружие и средства передвижения. Вы сможете использовать технологии пришельцев против самих них. Но для начала нужно будет обязательно изучить опасное оружие, которое попадет вам в руки.
• Внешние параметры героя. Вы сможете по ходу игры изменить внешность вашего персонажа, его одежду, прическу- это все доступно в данной игровой версии.

Не вижу друзей / друзья в Saints Row 4 (IV) не отображаются

• Убедитесь в том, что вы вместе с друзьями собираетесь играть в одном игровом регионе, в лаунчере
  установлен одинаковый регион загрузки.
• Если вышеописанный способ не помог, тогда самое время очистить кэш и запустить проверку целостности
  файлов.
• Самый радикальный способ решения проблемы – необходимо полностью переустановить лаунчер. При этом в
  обязательном порядке удалите все файлы, связанные с лаунчером, чтобы ничего не осталось на
  компьютере.

• Конкретно для «Стима» существует ещё один максимально простой способ решения проблемы: выбираете любой

  радикальному способу решения проблемы: запускаете Saints Row 4 (IV) и при появлении
  чёрного экрана нажимаете сочетание клавиш «Alt+Enter», чтобы игра переключилась на
  оконный режим. Так, возможно, откроется главное меню игры и удастся определить
  проблема в игре или нет. Если удалось перейти в оконный режим, тогда переходите в
  игровые настройки Saints Row 4 (IV) и меняйте разрешение (часто получается так, что

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

Позже, 23 Января 2015 года, вышла Re-Elected версия, в которой входили все DLC из Saints Row IV и полноценная игра Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell (на консолях они были доступны в виде промокодов, приложенных к коробке с игрой, после введения которых в PS4 или XBOX ONE контент автоматически скачивался)

В новой версии игры игроков ждало обновление графической составляющей, фиксы некоторых багов или ошибок, которые не были исправлены в классической версии. Кроме того эта версия игры имеет новые DLC, которые недоступны пользователю оригинала. Плюс в игре включенны абсолютно все DLC, что были созданы в классической версии.

Сюжетная линия

Вы попали в смертоносную ловушку, которую устроили вам инопланетные организмы. Теперь вы должны будете вернуться обратно в свой город и уничтожить всех пришельцев. Вы сможете легко перепрыгивать огромные здания, ваш главный герой проявит все свои таланты, чтобы бороться с ужасными и опасными врагами. Скоростные характеристики вашего главного персонажа просто поражают. Он сможет обгонять скоростные автомобили. По ходу игры вы сможете еще выполнять и побочные миссии, зарабатывая на этом хорошие игровые вознаграждения. Ваш главный протагонист вместе со своими напарниками сможет использовать инопланетное оружие. Но главная ваша способность, которую необходимо будет постоянно развивать – это навыки паркура. Вы сможете проходить сквозь стены, словно настоящий танк, уничтожая целые здания. Вы сможете также использовать любые подручные средства для борьбы с инопланетными организмами. Обычные стволы можно модернизировать, используя новейшие космические технологии.
