The game received mostly positive feedback from users and critics, despite the use of in-app purchases. Critics mostly praised the gameplay and graphics. It has a Metacritic score of 86/100 based on 36 reviews. PopCap Games announced at Gamescom on August 20, 2013, that the game had been downloaded 15 million times, making it the most successful EA mobile game launch.

Ten days later it was announced that the game had been downloaded 25 million times, exceeding the lifetime downloads of the first game. Apple chose Plants vs. Zombies 2 as a runner-up for 2013 iPhone game of the year. However, many people complain about the several microtransactions the game has, as well as having strange difficulty spikes throughout the adventure mode.

• Помимо четырех режимов, есть бонус в виде Сада Дзен. Тут можно выращивать цветы, грибы и водные растения. Если за ними ухаживать, они дают монеты. Собирать золото помогает ручная улитка. В саду растет Дерево Мудрости, которое дает советы и коды к игре. Эти коды заставляют врагов плясать, отращивают им усы, а после смерти врага из него выпадают конфеты и цветут маргаритки.

Plants vs. Zombies

Для растений

Стенорех используется в качестве защиты других растений и грибов от зомби, так как большинство из них очень уязвимо в плане прочности. По сравнению с Высоким орехом, Стенорех в 2.5 раза дешевле и поэтому может быть посажен раньше, но его более низкая стойкость и неспособность блокировать прыгающих зомби, как Пого-зомби, Зомби с шестом и Зомби-наездник на дельфине, делают его худшим выбором на более поздних уровнях, однако в случае с Зомби с трубкой он может оказаться эффективным, поскольку зомби высовывает полностью голову, когда начинает кусать растение или гриб. Также рекомендуется сажать за Стенорехами Зубастики, так как те мгновенно съедают зомби, однако затем их долго пережёвывают, из-за чего им необходима защита, с чем и справляются Стенорехи. А перед самим Стенорехом можно ещё расположить Колючку и Шипокамень, которые будут наносить урон зомби во время поедания ими Стенореха.

Для зомби

В режиме Я, Зомби лучше всего использовать против данного растения либо Зомби с лестницей, так как он ставит на Стенорех лестницу, через которую могут проходить остальные зомби, если рядом нет Магнит-гриба, либо же Зомби с шестом, который может перепрыгнуть данное растение.

В режиме Противостояние ещё данное растение можно уничтожить, расположив Зомбони, Гаргантюа, Зомби с чёртиком из табакерки, а также через Стенорех может перепрыгнуть Пого-зомби.

К вышеупомянутым тактикам добавляется ещё и расположение сзади Стенореха таких растений, как Бонк Чой, Васаби-кнут, Пастернак, Львиный зев, Холодный львиный зев, Хватающий Горох, Спичечный цветочный боксёр, Драконья ревущая трава, Сахарный тростник-наставник и Громовой львиный зев, а спереди него — Оливковую Ямку.

Lightning Reed

Cost (at level 1): 125 SunRecharge: Fast

For just 25 more Sun than the standard Peashooter, Lightning Reed offers several helpful additions. He can target enemies in either his row or adjacent ones, ensuring he’s never wasting time idly, and his shock attacks chain to nearby enemies, making him a sweet crowd-control unit. Additionally, his attack can’t be blocked or reflected, excellently countering annoying Jester or Shield Zombies.

Reed’s only failing is a lackluster plant food effect (creating a cloud that can only damage one enemy at a time), but that’s a small complaint for a versatile warrior who won’t break the bank.
