Lloyd was the mascot character for the sets. Besides Master Falls and Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon, every set took place in Ninjago City or was focused on something from the first half of the movie. The sets heavily focused on vehicles. Various characters from the TV series appeared in the sets, especially the two Ninjago City sets, but their designs were different from their TV series counterparts.

History

Background

Garmadon got four arms after getting bitten by a snake that had previously been bitten by a spider.

At some point, Garmadon met Misako in a battle, and they fell in love, with Garmadon giving her the nickname, «Koko.» The two eventually got married and had a child named Lloyd. However, Koko soon realized that Lloyd would grow up to be evil if he stayed with Garmadon, so she left Garmadon along with her son. Not changing to become a good father became one of Lord Garmadon’s greatest regrets.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie

At some point after this, Garmadon gained the Shark Army and would attack Ninjago almost daily, until a Secret Ninja Force formed to repel his attacks. Eventually, his attacks were added to the daily weather forecast. On Lloyd’s birthday, he attacked again in his Shark Mech, sending his Shark Army to try and take over Ninjago City. The Secret Ninja force responded and took to their mechs, fighting back against the Shark Army forces. Lloyd went after Garmadon, who kept running in his Mech all over the city, mocking the Green Ninja, telling him to shoot him if he saw him. Lloyd then saw the shark head poking out and fired, and Garmadon yelled that Lloyd hit his kidney. Lloyd then tracked Garmadon down and used his Green Ninja Mech Dragon to send rapid-fire missiles at Garamdon, after the Dark Lord said that he left because his son cried all the time, had no hair or any teeth. Garmadon was then surrounded by the Ninjas’ mechs, and he threw a bomb at Lloyd, which he could not catch. As Lloyd yelled at him to get out of his life, Garmadon told Lloyd he had a lot of problems and that he hoped that he would have them sorted out by the time he was back to attack again.

Garmadon then returned to his Volcanic Lair and met with his generals, telling them they had finally taken Ninjago. When General Number 1 tried to correct him, Garmadon yelled that he was being sarcastic, and asked #1 if he wanted to be a follower or a leader. When he said leader, Garmadon fired him out the volcano. Other generals dropped ideas, only to be fired as well. But then, some IT Guys gave him the blueprints for a new mech, Garma Mecha Man. They then got to work building it.

The next day, he attacked again, with a bigger army and the new Garma Mecha Man. Once again, The Ninja went to stop him, but it went differently. Garmadon grabbed the Mech Dragon and flung it into the docks, firing off tons of Sharks. He then climbed up the tower to the mayor and planting a flag, finally taking Ninjago City after so many tries. Lloyd followed him up on his dragon, and aimed the Ultimate Weapon at the Garma Mecha Man, demanding Lord Garmadon leave Ninjago forever. Garmadon began dropping his weapons and then started walking towards Lloyd, pressuring the Green Ninja into firing the weapon: a light that attracted Meowthra. Garmadon took the chance to grab the weapon and aim it at the other Ninjas’ mechs, having the cat destroy them. He then used his Mech to kick the Green Ninja Mech Dragon off the tower, and some Shark Army members grabbed Lloyd.

Lloyd then revealed he was Garmadon’s lost son and told Garmadon that he wished Garmadon wasn’t his father before escaping. Garmadon then moved from his volcano to the tower, and the Shark Army partied there in celebration of their victory yet Garmadon was upset over Lloyd wishing that Garmadon wasn’t his father. He then called out to his then General Number 1 and asked her if she had captured the Ninja, Master Wu or Koko like he asked her to, which she didn’t as she was busy celebrating with the other Generals, which gets her fired from the volcano.

Cultural references

• Some of the students attending the ninja’s high school resemble characters from popular movies:
  • A LEGO version of Ferris Bueller from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off makes a cameo appearance in both the second trailer and the released film alongside the other students moving away from Lloyd as he is entering the bus.
  • The Making of the Movie book reveals five of the students attending the high school resemble the main characters from The Breakfast Club.
• Mr. Liu’s decision to train the boy into a ninja may be a reference to the 2010 film The Karate Kid. This is likely because Jackie Chan, the actor of Mr. Liu, also has an iconic portrayal as a mentor and sensei to another young boy, Dre Parker.
• The scene where Wu tells Lloyd «Jump, Lloyd, jump,» while fleeing the Temple of Fragile Foundations is similar to Star Wars: A New Hope, where after Obi-Wan Kenobi is killed by Darth Vader he calls out to Luke from the dead saying, «Run, Luke, run.»
• In the film, Lloyd asks if he can have the element of Wind, and Wu says no. After that, he says «Earth, Green and Fire,» referencing the band Earth, Wind & Fire.
• Garmadon’s message to Wu, «You’re a big, stupid, dumb-dumb with a dumb face and a big butt and your butt stinks and you smell like a butt,» is likely a reference to a line said by Moe in The Simpsons, «I’m a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and I like to kiss my own butt.»

• Similarly to the TV show Garmadon who turned evil after being bitten by the Great Devourer, he got his four arms and demonic appearance after being bitten by a snake, which had been bitten by a spider.
• He is 174 years old, which makes him much younger than his TV series counterpart, who is over a thousand years old.
• Similarly to his TV counterpart, who in «Double Trouble» threw any serpentine with a bad idea off the boat, Garmadon fired his generals out of a volcano if they had a bad idea.
• In the Ninjago TV series, Garmadon wanted to be part of Lloyd’s life and for his son to lead a productive, good life, but due to his corruption, commits evil acts by impulse until he’s later cleansed of it. In the film, Lord Garmadon is called the «Worst Guy Ever» in promotional materials and seems to have always been willingly evil, plotting world domination when he and Koko were dating. That being said, he does seem to care for Lloyd to some extent, with some promotional materials implying part of his motivation for invading Ninjago City is to get to know his son.
• His flashback variant never actually appeared physically in the movie except in Garmadon’s imagination, imagining if Koko and he got back together to raise Lloyd to have a normal life.
• In the TV show, his counterpart’s first name is Garmadon, and it’s his son’s last name. However, in the movie, the Temple of Fragile Foundations

  This implies that Wu’s last name is Garmadon as well.

  ‘ doormat says «The Garmadons,» implying that Garmadon is his last name.

• He mispronounces Lloyd’s first name as «Luh-loyd.» He says that he would know the right way to pronounce it because he named Lloyd.
• During the time he was trapped in the jungle by the Ninja, it was emphasized that despite being the older brother he looks much younger than Wu, something that also happens with his counterpart in the show, to which his answer is that he «wear a face mask».
• He always wears a blue cloak in the film, but only one set features his minifigure with one.
• In one of the photos in the Temple of Fragile Foundations, he has the same face as Lloyd and the same hair as Cole

Lloyd: Master of Green

As the legendary Green Ninja, Lloyd is a Master Builder and the leader of a secret ninja force protecting NINJAGO City from the most notorious villain of all time: Lord Garmadon. Crowds cheer the Green Ninja as a hero, but when he takes off his mask they only see him as Lloyd, the boy unfortunate enough to be Garmadon’s son. It’s hard for him to make friends or get through a day at school because Garmadon ruins everything. Still, Lloyd yearns to have a real relationship with his dad.

Игровой процесс

В игровом плане игра напоминает предыдущие части серии. Конечно, данный эпизод снят по фильму, кинокартине, но некие сходства с прошлыми частями, все же, есть. Игра довольно короткая и динамичная, несмотря на большое количество миссий. Тут даже присутствуют квесты после полного прохождения. Но все равно игра кажется короткой, зато увлекательной и интересной. Всего игроку будет доступно около 8 локаций и разнообразных территорий, на которых вы можете сражаться с различными мощными и сильными героями. Протагониста выбирают в самом начале. Причем выбор состоит из уже доступных персонажей, которые появлялись в одноименном кинофильме. Играйте любимым героями и проходите игру целиком и полностью, возвращая мир во всем мире. Приглашайте друзей, пусть помогают вам пройти определенные сложные уровни. Либо играйте против них и показывайте мастер-класс. Вся статистика записывается в онлайн-систему достижений.

History

Early life

Lloyd was born to Lord Garmadon and Koko, sometime before the family arrived to Ninjago. When Garmadon declared his intentions of conquering the city, Koko decided she didn’t want Lloyd to become an evil conqueror like his dad so she reluctantly left Garmadon and moved with Lloyd to an apartment in Ninjago to give him a normal life. She got a job at a copy center and kept her former life a secret from her son while (Lord) Garmadon stayed behind and carried on with his plans to conquer Ninjago. As he grew up, Lloyd was discriminated and bullied by the citizens of Ninjago for being the son of the evil Lord Garmadon and got blamed for everything his father did until his paternal uncle, Wu recruited him as part of his Secret Ninja Force, leading him to meet and befriend Kai, Nya, Jay, Cole, and Zane.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie

On the day of his sixteenth birthday, Lloyd is awakened by his father, who doesn’t (or pretends he doesn’t) know who Lloyd is. Garmadon claims that he butt-dialed him and claimed that his son is still a baby with no teeth or he is around seven years old. Lloyd corrects him and says he is sixteen, Garmadon hung up after congratulating Lloyd for finally having a full set of teeth. Koko arrives at their apartment and Lloyd gets up and does the dishes while trying to ask his mother to let him skip school for the day but Koko refuses since this are «the best years of his life» while Lloyd tries to tell her about how «judgy» people are but Koko reassures him that he just has to let people know the real him. Koko then reminds him of what to do if Garmadon attacks and wishes him a happy birthday before sending him off to school and he reluctantly obeys her.

As he waits at the bus stop, the other teenagers start texting about how much they hate him before the bus arrives and Lloyd has to sit alone on one side of the bus and everyone else sits on the other side, causing the weight to nearly tip over the bus.

Once he arrives to school, everyone stops what they are doing and whisper amongst themselves about how his father always ruins everything while Lloyd passes by until Zane walks up to him and talks to him about some argument he had with his mother. Kai then walks up to Lloyd and hugs him with Zane joining in, squeezing them very tight.

Nya soon arrives on her motorcycle followed by Cole and Jay. Nya is showing off the paint job she made on her motorcycle; a portrait of The Lady Iron Dragon when a group of cheerleaders led by Chad walk up to them and start chanting their new song; «Boo Lloyd!» to Lloyd, who tries to take it well and say that they were going to be a success.

Impatient, impulsive and completely self-absorbed, he likes to make a point by firing his generals …. from a volcano. Four arms, red eyes, rides a giant robot shark. Garmadon wants to build his empire on the ashes of NINJAGO City as the greatest warlord ever. When he hunts down the ninja he will use all his warlord skills including a keen sense of Jungle attire.
