Biography[]
2014 Season
Jo «CoreJJ» Yong-in joined Bigfile Miracle in February of 2014 as an AD carry under the name «Core«. They competed in HOT6iX Champions Summer 2014 but they lost all six of their games and placed last in their group. The roster was released in September of that year to join Quvic E-Sports.
2015 Season
Core left Quvic to join Team Dignitas along with Gamsu in December 2014. It was here that he changed his name to «Core JJ«. The first event that they attended with the team was IEM Season IX — Cologne, which Dignitas was invited to after Team Curse declined their invitation. They lost 2-0 in the second round to Gambit Gaming. Dignitas ended the 2015 NA LCS Spring Season with a 6-12 record in 9th place. They were forced to play against Team Fusion in the 2015 NA LCS Summer Promotion Tournament. Dignitas reverse swept Fusion on their way to requalifying for the 2015 NA LCS Summer Season. Despite being tied for first with a 7-2 record halfway through the summer season, the team struggled throughout the last half and finished sixth at 10-8. Dignitas was swept 3-0 by Team Impulse in the first round of the 2015 NA LCS Summer Playoffs.
2016 Season
During the 2016 LCK Spring Season, Samsung Galaxy went 10-8 in sets overall. CoreJJ split time with Stitch for the starter ADC position. After looking like they could clinch the fifth and final seed for the Spring Playoffs, Samsung Galaxy were unfortunately denied by the surging Afreeca Freecs, who beat them by the game score tiebreaker, giving Samsung sixth place for the split.
During the 2016 LCK Summer Split, CoreJJ moved to support to make room for rookie ADC Ruler. As a support, he only played in three games during the regular season — all losses. Nonetheless, they managed to take fourth place with a 12-6 series record, seeding them into the first round of the 2016 LCK Summer Playoffs. Though they summarily defeated the Afreeca Freecs in the first round, they were matched against KT Rolster, a team who they had never managed to beat post-S4 in the LCK era, and they were swept 3-0, giving them fourth place in the season. Their accumulated points gave them enough to qualify as the second seed in the 2016 Season Korea Regional Finals. In a rematch against the Afreeca Freecs, Samsung lost the first game before swapping out veteran support Wraith for CoreJJ. With this swap, Samsung managed to beat the Freecs 3-1, moving up to the finals in a rematch against KT Rolster. With CoreJJ, Samsung upset the heavy favorites 3-2, breaking a 19 game losing streak and giving them the third seed to worlds.
At the 2016 Season World Championship, Samsung were drawn into Group D along with NA’s Team SoloMid, China’s Royal Never Give Up, and Europe’s Splyce.

Starting Items for ADCs
Most ADCs tend to stick to one or two starting items and rarely take anything different. This is because these two items, in particular, are fantastic at allowing them to either survive the lane or win it.
From left to right: Doran’s Blade and Doran’s Shield
Some champions may benefit from a different set of starting items, but they’re champion specific, and not recommended on many champions: like Kai’Sa with Doran’s Ring.
Not every champion can go Doran’s Ring, so we won’t be discussing that option in this guide, but note that some champions can take other starting items.
Doran’s Blade
The first starting item is Doran’s Blade. This is a great item on ADCs and other AD champions alike because it gives them bonus damage in lane, allowing them to deal more damage when last hitting minions and poking the enemy. It also gives 80 health which will give you a slight increase in survivability and helps prevent you from being killed at level 1.
If you do get poked down though, lucky for you – Doran’s Blade also gives 3% lifesteal which will allow you sustain more in and regenerate some of that missing health.
An ADC will take this starting item in most matchups unless they’re in a difficult matchup, they have no kill potential, or they expect to get poked frequently by the enemy.
Examples of champions who benefit: ADCs who aren’t worried about dying early or want to play aggressively.
Doran’s Shield
If you’re in a poor matchup like suggested above, your other starting option is Doran’s Shield. Doran’s Shield provides the user with some added protection in lane thanks to its bonus health and multiple passives.
The first passive restores 6 health every 5 seconds, giving you more sustain in lane. The second passive gives you some extra on-hit damage against minions when you auto-attack them. The final unique passive regenerates health after taking damage from the enemy.
As you can see, Doran’s Shield provides you with a lot of sustain, which means it’s a must-have item when you’re in a difficult matchup. This is because it increases your survivability as it provides you with a lot of regeneration in lane, which can help you survive the laning phase.
Examples of champions who benefit: ADCs facing early kill pressure and want to just survive/farm.
Biography[]
Gwak «Bdd» Bo-seong joined CJ Entus as a sub mid laner in April 2015 but was unable to play a single game for them due to being underage. He finally turned 17 on March 1, 2016, and he made his competitive debut in the 2016 LCK on March 2 in a series against Kongdoo Monster, which CJ won 2-1. Bdd is a versatile mid laner. Despite his ability to play several meta and non-meta champions, Bdd is especially fond of assassins, citing Zed as one of his favorite champions to play.
2016 Season
During the 2016 LCK Spring Season, CJ went 8-10 in sets, finishing in eighth place overall for the spring split. Sky played as the starting midlaner for CJ during the first round robin while Bdd was still underage, but Bdd assumed the starting mid position after he turned 17, just in time for the second round robin. However, it was not enough to make playoffs.
CJ Entus had a very poor showing in the 2016 LCK Summer Season, going 3-15 total in set score. Neither Bdd’s benching and subsequent reinstating as the starting mid laner seemed to make no difference in their abysmal results. Locked into tenth place in the LCK season, CJ Entus participated in the 2017 LCK Spring Promotion. In the first round they were swept 2-0 by Kongdoo Monster, bringing them down to the loser’s bracket. There, they beat SBENU Korea 2-0 before falling to ESC Ever in a 3-0 sweep to become relegated from the LCK. This marked the first time an original Kespa team was relegated from the LCK.

Samira- 88/100 (S-Tier)
Samira has been an absolute terror ever since she was released a couple of months back. While a recent slew of nerfs have knocked her down to a win rate slightly below 50%, she remains frustrating to face and impossible to deal with when fed
What Makes Samira S-Tier:
- As typical of any champion designed in 2020, Samira’s kit really embodies the 200 collective years of experience possessed by Riot. A CC-extender, a dash, a wind wall, and a mobile Katerina ultimate. It’s going to take a lot more nerfs to counteract just how good her abilities are on their own
- It’s so easy for Samira to just completely snowball out of control. Just one or two kills in the laning phase pretty much guarantee you’ll be facing an absolute monster later on

History[]
In February 2019, the SK Telecom T1 organization announced that it was rebranding to T1. However, their League of Legends team could not rebrand mid-year, and remained as SKT for the remainder of the 2019 season, through Worlds. In November, CEO Joe Marsh began referring to the League of Legends team under the name T1.
2019 Season
On November 17th T1 announced the contract extension of Faker. During the following days the departures of their coaching staff around star coach kkOma and experienced players Khan, Clid, Haru and Mata were made public. In the same week KZ jungler Cuzz joined the team and the contract of support Effort was extended as well. A week later T1 completed their roster with the signings of Gen.G top lane substitute Roach and Damwon’s coach Kim who lead iG to the S8 World Championship. Additionally trainees Canna, Ellim, Gumayushi and Kuri were promoted to substitute positions.
2020 Season
During 2019 LoL KeSPA Cup T1 barely scraped past the new roster of Gen.G before being clearly defeated by SANDBOX Gaming’s upgraded roster.
After being upset by HLE during week 1 of LCK Spring Split the team went on a convincing clean winning streak beating the other top teams DragonX and Gen.G during which Canna managed to secure himself the starting spot in top lane before being defeated by Afreeca Freecs. Unfazed by this loss, the unexpected mid-season break due to the 2019–20 Coronavirus Pandemic, the change to online play and their coaches announcement to try other playstyles during the second half of the split T1 continued with 5 wins including ones again both matches against DragonX and GEN.G. A wild end to the Regular Season with messy victories and clear defeats to Damwon and KT Rolster raised some concerns about the teams level of play going into playoffs. Thanks to the help of APK Prince on the last match day T1 got to wait in semifinals as they held the H2H against DragonX. The latter became their opponents in semifinals but lead by rookie top laner Canna destroying his lane opponent T1 managed to win pretty comfortably 3-1. Back in LoL Park for the Finals against first seed Gen.G they came in well prepared and dominated the match completely for a 3-0 sweep and their 9th LCK title.

Ashe- 92/100 (S-Tier)
Ashe has always been a pretty solid pick due to the large amount of utility in her kit, and now that there’s a plentiful amount of fantastic new items she’s gone from good to great and is currently at a 51.26% win rate
What Makes Ashe S-Tier:
- Ashe has a lot of utility in her kit, with a built-in slow on her passive and an ultimate that can potentially have the longest stun in the game. Even if she doesn’t do too hot in laning phase, she can still be useful to the team later on
- Ashe is one of the best kiting champions in the game, the slow she has on each of her auto attacks is fantastic for both dueling and for running down enemies
What does an ADC do?
An ADC is the primary sustained damage dealer in a League of Legends team. He or she is the champion who relies on powerful auto-attack damage to defeat minions, monsters and opposing champions. Abilities certainly help with their damage output and can often offer some extra utility with stuns, knockbacks, escapes and buffs, but your main aim is to be constantly landing basic attacks or your targets.
It’s a fairly long process to get to the point where you can tear through anything in your path, though. As one of the most item dependent roles in the game, you start off extremely weak and scale up dramatically over the course of a match as you finish important equipment pieces such as Infinity Edge, The Bloodthirster, Blade of the Ruined King and more. That makes creep farming and gold gathering vitally important to you.
To make this easier, the ADC is almost always paired with a support in the bot lane from the start of a game. This gives you some extra protection and assistance so you can spend your time last-hitting minions in order to collect gold and build into those key items as quickly as possible. Even as the game progresses, though, you’re still one of the easiest targets to kill, so you’ll need to play safe and use your tankier allies to protect you.
History[]
Prior to the 2020 Season, Kingzone DragonX renamed to DragonX.
2019 Season
On November 4th DragonX announced former Griffin coach cvMax as new head coach. In the following weeks Rascal, Cuzz, Naehyun and TusiN left the team. At the start of december former Griffin top lane substitute Doran and mid laner Chovy signed their contracts while trainees Pyosik and Keria were promoted to the starting roster. With cvMax and this young roster lead by Deft’s experience many people were excited about what they would be able to achieve.
2020 Season
Their first test was 2019 LoL KeSPA Cup in which they swept local team Chungnam, Challenger team Spear Gaming and even Worlds quarterfinalist DAMWON Gaming. Their run came to an end when they faced Afreeca Freecs with their upgraded roster in semifinals and this time got swept themselves.
Using their time before the start of Spring Split well they managed to start off 4-0 in the first two weeks before falling to top teams T1 and Gen.G in week 3. They finished the first half of the split off with another 3 2-0 victories before the league had to take a break due to the 2019–20 Coronavirus Pandemic. When the league continued a few weeks later with online play they were upset by HLE and swept by T1 before getting back on track to finish the Regular Season with 7 victories including a 2-0 over first placed Gen.G. Due to dropping several games in «easy» matches they lost out on second seed to T1 which meant that they had to start playoffs as third seed in Round 1. In this match against Damwon they dominated games 1 and 2 but lost game 3 convincingly and game 4 to a backdoor before smashing their opponents in game 5 to face T1 in semifinals. This time they clearly lost games 1 and 2 before slowly bleeding out T1 with a poke comp in game 3 but ultimately lost the series in game 4 vs the eventual champion.

Vayne- 83/100 (A-Tier):
The classic and iconic hyper-carry champion, Vayne has had a slight fall from grace compared to how strong she was in previous seasons. She may have a 49.61% win rate but she can still be the same hard carry she was before
What Makes Vayne A-Tier:
- Similar to Kai’Sa, Vayne is also a champion that only gets better the more the game goes on. While this does mean she suffers from the same problem of not being able to get to the level she needs to be at before the game ends, it also means that stalling the game out long enough greatly increases the chance of winning
- Vayne is a champion that gets better the more you play her and get experience with her, there’s a reason why Vayne has the most success with mechanically skilled players. Regardless of how poorly she is in the meta, a good enough player can always do well with her
ADC’s are a staple of League of Legends, despite the fall from grace many of them have experience in recent years. However, with Season 11 preseason and some promising buffs for multiple classic ADC items, we could see many of these classic ADC’s return to form

Teddy
T1 player Teddy concentrating during a match
Teddy is another one of those names that circulates around every year. He’s often featured in the highlights of any of T1’s matches and there is a reason for that: He is a god tier ADC.
Unlike many other professional esports players, Teddy has been consistently part of the T1 team since winning first place in the LCK Spring 2019, taking home the grand prize of $87,655. That was just the first of many prizes T1 have taken home, the highest of which was the 2019 World Championship 3rd/4th prize of $155,750.
Major Achievements:
- Rift Rivals 2019: LCK vs LPL vs LMS vs VCS – 1st place ($80,000)
- 2019 World Championship – 3rd/4th place ($155,750)
- LCK Summer 2021 – 2nd place ($86,288)

Bang
Bang playing League of Legends
In 2018, Teddy as aforementioned above, joined T1. However, before Teddy, came Bang (real name: Bae Jun-sik). Bang left T1 in 2018 with giant shoes for Teddy to fill, and while he has kept his own, Bang’s legacy lives on.
From 2015 to 2017, T1 (formerly called SK Telecom T1) reigned supreme. They had an unbelievable team made up of legends. A powerhouse that took first in the majority of competitions, T1 were back-to-back World Champions in 2015 and 2016. While they made it to the grand finale in 2017 of the World Championship again, they lost out to Samsung Galaxy.
Bang since leaving T1 has become the ADC for Afreeca Freecs.
Major achievements:
- 2017 World Championship – 2nd place ($620,540)
- 2016 World Championship – 1st place ($2,028,000)
- 2015 World Championship – 1st place ($1,000,000)
